Programs at Columbia Horse Center

Columbia Horse Center is a lesson facility that provides an experience not matched in the area. We offer so much more then the traditional lesson program to our students. We have something for the beginner to the advanced rider as well as everything in between. Once joining our lesson program, our students have the opportunity to get involved with many fascits of horsemanship in and outside of the ring.

Lessons at Columbia Horse CenterActivities
One of the biggest advantages to joining the lesson program at Columbia Horse Center is the opportunity to join in many of the activities offered. We host The Preakness Party, Pony rides at the Columbia Classic, Beach Party, Fall Festival, Halloween Party, Holiday Party, Dressage & Jumper Shows, Clinics, Trail Rides, and much more!

Columbia Horse Center offers boarding to our students that purchase a horse. They get the use of the facility as well as full care. All boarders continue with lessons and participate in many of the activities offered at the barn.

Columbia Horse Center provides activities for children when school is out. We offer the Horsemanship Summer Camp for ages 8-15 as well as Pony Pal Summer Camp for ages 5-7. In addition to the Summer Camp, we offer a Spring Break Camp and Winter Break Camp that coincides with the Howard County School Calendar. There are also many one day camps, "Day at the Barn", that also coincide with the Howard County School Calendar. The children ride two times a day and learn different fascists of Horsemanship. In addition to the camps for kids, CHC also offers an Adult Camp from time to time.

Showing at Columbia Horse CenterEqui-Lease
Equi-Lease offers people to ride when they want without having a lesson. It's a unique program for riders that are not yet ready to own a horse, but still want to feel as if they do. The Equi-Lease Program allows our riders to learn much more about horsemanship aspects as well as providing a huge social calendar for the members to participate in.

Horse Sales
Columbia Horse Center offers horses for sale throughout the year. We offer an array of ponies to horses as well as beginner to advance.

CHC offers group, semi-private, and private lessons 7 days a week. Adults and children are separated into different groups, as well as Pony Pal lessons for ages 5-7, and home school lessons during the weekdays. There are a variety of Instructors that are trained to teach the very beginner to the experienced.

Columbia Horse Center offers a Schooling Dressage and Hunter/Jumper Series in the Spring as well as the Fall. In addition, Columbia offers several In-House Shows for just our students. These are broken up into Children and Adult shows. We are now also doing a Horse Trial for our eventers out there. The shows are always fun, relaxing and a great opportunity for our students to get their feet wet in the competitive world.

SClinics at Columbia Horse Centerhow Teams

Working Students
Columbia Horse Center has many Working Students ranging from 12 to 65. We not only offer this program to kids, but adults as well.
