Pony Pal Summer Camp at Columbia Horse Center
This specialized camp is designed for children (ages 5-7) who love horses and want to learn about them. Campers will be learning riding skills through fun exercises and games, participating in activities involving horses, and time just to give an old fashion hug to a pony. There will also be time for related arts and crafts. Our goal is for your child to have a safe and wonderful experience with horses.

In the mornings, the groups rotate between their riding lesson, arts n' crafts, and hands-on horsemanship activities. All campers eat together for lunch. In the afternoons, we plan a special horse related activity each day; such as trail rides, bareback riding, games on horseback, western riding, and bathing a horse, etc. The final day of each session, campers will participate in a presentation featuring what the class has learned over the week. Parents and friends are invited to come. Awards are presented to each camper, followed by refreshments.

The number of spaces for each session is limited to 15, which allows the program to have a 1:1 basis with the instructor and assistants helping the students. Campers should be sure to wear jeans or long pants suitable for riding. A change of clothes for after riding is also needed as well as clothes that can get wet for hot days. Proper riding boots or shoes and an approved ASTM/SEI certified helmet designed for horseback riding are to be worn at all times while riding. Each child should bring lunch in a cooler with their name clearly marked on it.
