Camp Registration Starts

This specialized camp is designed for all the young children (ages 5-7) who love horses and want to learn about them.

OUR GOAL:
We pride ourselves in having a staff and management who not only love horses, but enjoy teaching children the skills, fun and sometimes hard work of having a horse. Our goal is for your child to have a safe and wonderful experience with horses.

CURRICULUM:
The curriculum is designed to meet the needs of the various ages of campers. They will be learning riding skills, as well as having time to spend with the horses, or time just to give an old fashion hug to a pony. There will also be time for horse related arts and crafts. Hands on activities are the most fun with an instructional ratio of 1:5. The riding program is conducted almost on a 1:1 basis with the instructor and assistants helping the students.

CAMP SCHEDULE:
Camp will begin each day at 9:00. All campers will be assigned to a group according to riding experience. In the mornings, the groups rotate between their riding lesson, arts n' crafts, and hands-on horsemanship activities. All campers eat together for lunch. In the afternoons, we plan a special horse related activity each day; such as trail rides, bareback riding, group games, games on horseback, bathing a horse, etc. Camp will end each day at 4:00. There is no After Care for the half day session.

COST:
1 Week Session = $390.00
Half Day = $270.00/week (9:00-12:30)
B/A Care = $60.00
Before Care for Half Day session = $30.00

RESERVATIONS:
Since the number of spaces for each session is limited to 15, please mail your registration fee as soon as possible to reserve space. A deposit fee of ½ the cost is required to register. If enrolling in multiple sessions, a deposit of half the total amount must be received for the additional sessions. A refund on the deposit is made only if the camper's reservation is able to be filled. ** Balance due and Health Form are due one week prior to the start of the session.
Note: There is a $25.00 non-refundable administration fee for any changes made, including session changes and cancellations.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
* There is Before and After Care available for an additional fee. (There is NO After Care for the half day session). Children can be dropped off as early as 8:00 and picked up by 6:00 p.m. (an additional fee of $10 for every fifteen minutes or portion there of will be charged if pick up is after 6:00).
* Each child should bring lunch in a cooler with name clearly marked on it.
* Campers should be sure to wear jeans or long pants suitable for riding and farm activities. A change of clothes for after riding is also needed. Please also bring clothes that the camper can get wet in - we do play water games on hot days.
* An approved hard hat designed for horseback riding is to be worn at all times while riding. A proper riding boot or shoe is also required.
* We suggest that 5 year-olds attend our ½ day session.

TACKSHOP:

SUMMER CAMP KIT:
An optional Summer Camp Grooming Kit is available at the tack shop or through the camp. The kit is a great tool and convenience for your child. It includes a self-contained see through carrying box with 8 pieces of grooming tools.
